Google Books at the Intellectual Property crossroads

The judge in this case might not have ruled today about the Google Books v. Everyone, but I urge anyone interested in the vagaries of copyright law in America to read about this fascinating case, which features nearly all aspects of why copyright is complicated and befuddling and completely broken in our country and everywhere else in the world. Whether or not you agree with Google, it is about time someone took these issues to court!
